Today's message in church was powerful. They had a big banner that read "your days are numbered." My favorite pastor in the entire world, Andy Stanley gave the sermon. He spoke about how time is our most valuable asset. We wear watches, we glance at the clock so we don't lose track of time. Yet there's something way more important than knowing what time it is; it's knowing what to do with our time:
Are we being of service to others?
Are we engaging with our children?
Are we taking time to connect with our spouse?
We spend so much time on Facebook, texting, playing on our Apps, checking our phone, etc. I know I am guilty of this! I am going to make a bigger effort to put it all down when I am home with my family, to play with my kids, to talk to them, to talk to my husband, to call my family. Sadly life is short, and it's our one and only opportunity to be a part of something. Knowing my days are numbered, I'm really gonna try to make the most of them.
In speaking of Andy Stanley; I was so fortunate to meet him today. He was not as tall as I expected. He was very funny and very kind.
