Day 5 - Maggie Valley

Do I even need to say that our morning began with Nutmeg Cafe Donuts? ;)

Today was Mark's last day here so he had some house projects to do for Grandma. He completed his list and she was very grateful! Then, he loaded up the kids and took them to "Cherokee Bear Zoo." What an awesome place! $5 admission and $1 for a tray of food to feed the bears. My kids LOVED it!!
Here are some pics of those adorable bears:

Mark cooked the Rainbow Trout that the kids caught yesterday for a late lunch and it was delicious! (Maybe even extra delicious for the kids because they were so proud.) ;)

After dragging it out as long as we could, Mark finally said goodbye around 7pm. (This after I begged him to stay another day.) Not possible--too many conference calls tomorrow. And I know this is silly, but I cried as I hugged him goodbye. I just really didn't want him to leave! :(

We had a nice, quiet evening at home watching movies and when the kids fell asleep; mom and I sat in her bed and talked. It was so nice!! I even taught her how to use Pinterest and had a blast watching her create her "Travel" Board. That woman has been all over this planet; a true traveler! I think she pinned around 25 places and that's not even 1/4 of where she's been. I can't wait to see it when it's complete.

I am tired and headed to bed. No idea what's on the agenda for tomorrow, but no matter what--it will be great! I LOVE Maggie Valley!!
